The mission of the Airport is to provide safe and efficient aviation facilities and associated services to both commercial and non-commercial users, while operating in harmony with the community's quality of life goals.
Airport Master Plan
The City of Vero Beach is embarking on a new community outreach study that will serve as an important tool in planning for the future of the Vero Beach Regional Airport.
With the support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), the City of Vero Beach is preparing an Airport Master Plan for the Vero Beach Regional Airport. This will be an 18-month project.
The airport operating environment has dramatically evolved over the past 20 years; thus, a new roadmap to guide the future of the airport is critical. While facilities and infrastructure needs will be reviewed in accordance with FAA regulations, we will also look closely at financial self-sufficiency, strategies for business and economic growth, continued environmental stewardship, and alignment with community needs.
